The Charmborough Ring is a portable
tower which is available for use at public events. It is privately owned, and
on loan, although the Trust is currently raising funds to acquire the ring
and cover its operating costs. The ring is available for hire through the
Charmborough Bell Trust. The standard hire rate for The
Charmborough Ring is £150 per day, or £200 per weekend, plus transport and
any travelling costs for the Trust’s erection supervisor if he travels
separately. Friends
will receive a discounted hire fee. When the Trust provides transport,
this will normally include transport for the Trust’s erection supervisor and
is charged as follows: £50
to and from anywhere within the M25, plus
30p per mile each way for each mile outside the M25, plus
tolls, including For an additional fee we can also
provide a full erection team and a band to ring public events, and for
weddings at churches or other places where there are no bells! For
