Gift Aid changes
Attention Treasurers!
The Government is shortening the period for reclaiming Gift Aid from six years to four years. The effect of this is that the cut-off points for reclaiming Gift Aid on donations in the tax years ending 5th April 2004, 2005 and 2006 will all fall between 31st January and 5th April 2010.
The revised cut-off dates are:

| 5th April 2004 | 31st January 2010 |
| 5th April 2005 | 31st March 2010 |
| 5th April 2006 | 5th April 2010 |
| 5th April 2007 | 5th April 2011 |
If you have unclaimed Gift Aid for these tax years you need to act very soon to make sure that your claim is received by HM Revenue and Customs before the new cut-off dates and thereby ensure that Mr Darling makes his full contribution to your registered charity, whether Guild, Society or Bell Restoration Fund.
